Ghazarossian, Ph.D. - President
& Chief Executive Officer
Dr.
Ghazarossian has more than 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur
and head of R&D in medical devices, biopharmaceuticals and diagnostics.
He has been instrumental in four medical device startups, including
serving as President/CEO for three of them. He received his Ph.D.
in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin and was a Postdoctoral
Fellow at Stanford University. He has authored multiple scientific
publications and is an inventor or co-inventor on more than 20 issued
US Patents.
Daniel
Kraft, M.D. - Founder & Chief Medical Officer
Dr.
Kraft, the scientific founder of StemCor, is a Hematologist/Oncologist
specializing in the field of Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT), and
a faculty member at Stanford University and UCSF. He received his
training at Stanford Medical School, and performed his Residency ad
Harvard University. He is currently on faculty with Stanford Medical
School's Institute for Stem Cell Biology & Regenerative Medicine.
His research focus at Stanford University includes adult bone marrow
derived stem cells. He has multiple publications related to stem cells
and is an inventor on one allowed and multiple filed US Patents. Dr.
Kraft also founded Online Medical Bookstore, a company that was acquired
in 1999.
Michael
Sterns, D.V.M. - Executive
Vice President
Dr. Sterns has greater than 18 years of experience in business development,
marketing, sales and operations in medical devices, drug delivery,
biopharmaceuticals and research tools. He has been a part of senior
management in seven start-up companies, including four that became
public companies through initial public offerings and one that was
acquired. His most recent position was as Chief Business Officer of
Xenogen Corporation where he built the international sales and marketing
organization, and was also in charge of business development services,
reagent sales and eCommerce, growing annual revenue greater than 300%
in four years prior to the company being acquired. He was originally
trained as an Equine Veterinarian, receiving his DVM from the University
of California, Davis and his MBA from the Haas School of Business
at the University of California, Berkeley.
Mike
Crocker - Vice President,
Engineering
Mr. Crocker is an accomplished medical device executive
and expert in the development of high-end medical technology. He has
more than 25 years of medical device engineering experience across
multiple therapeutic areas, including Cardiology, Urology, and Neurology.
Mike is an inventor on 25 issued US Patents and received his BS in
Industrial Engineering from Drexel University.
